PITTSBURG, KAN. – The University of Mount Olive men's and women's track & field team saw six Trojans earn an All-Americans on day one of the NCAA DII Indoor Track & Field National Championships on Friday in Pittsburg, Kansas.

RACE NOTABLES
- Sydney McCoy started the day for Mount Olive with a third-place finish in the third heat of the 60m dash earning her a 12th place overall finish and UMO's first All-America on the day with a second-team All-America. McCoy's time of 7.56 also broke the school record.
- Celine Ritter continued Mount Olive's day at the National Championship with a ninth-place finish in the first heat of the prelims of the mile and took 19th overall.
- The 5000m was the first event that saw a Trojan capture a first-team All-America with Leah Hanle's 16:37.56 5th place finish. Hanle moved up to as high as second from the 2900m-to-3500m mark before she fell down to sixth just before the finish when Hanle pushed forward at the line and took fifth.
- The distance medley relay team of Adam Craig, Johnny Middlebrooks, Tedric Shannon, and Jonathan Dahlke rounded out day one at the NCAA Division II National Championship by defeating Southeast Regional foe Queens (N.C.) and finished 10th overall to take home UMO's second second-team All-America.
