MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The University of Mount Olive men's and women's track & field teams brought home two wins on senior day as the Trojans won the 2018 Trojan Challenge at the Ray McDonald Sr. Track and Field/Lacrosse Complex Saturday in Mount Olive, N.C. UMO saw two school records fall and one near NCAA Automatic Qualifier mark hit over the weekend.

WOMEN'S NOTABLES
- Leah Hanle narrowly missed the NCAA Automatic Qualifying mark in the steeplechase as her time of 10.29.25 was 10 seconds behind the standard mark of 10:19.33. The mark was however good enough to capture an NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark and break the facility record in the process.
- Hanle then went on to break the facility record in the 800m with a time of 2:18.34 taking first in the event as well.
- Sydney McCoy broke in the UMO top-10 lists in the 100m moving into the 4th place spot.
- Brittany Beckford had one great outing in the high jump capturing not only the facility record but the UMO school record when she cleared the bar at 1.63m.
- Tameia Morrison rounded out the Trojans breaking school records as she became the new leader in the Discus with a throw of 40.04m.
- UMO made several moves in the Top-10 over the weekend including 14 Trojans moving into the rankings in 18 different events.
- Four Ray McDonald Sr. Complex Facility records were broken by four different Trojans as well.
MEN'S NOTABLES
- Johnny Middlebrooks, Trevor Carr, and Adrian Mazo all cracked the top-3 in the UMO record books in their respective events.
- Colin Fisher also set the new facility record in the steeplechase in Fisher's first time running in the event.
- UMO made several moves in the Top-10 over the weekend including 12 Trojans moving into the rankings in 15 different events.
- Four Ray McDonald Sr. Complex Facility records were broken by four different Trojans as well.

- The Trojans' men's and women's track and field teams will compete again at the Raleigh Relays on March 30-31 in Raleigh, N.C.
