The University of Mount Olive Athletics Department welcomed back all Trojan student-athletes with an ice cream social Monday afternoon in Kornegay Arena.
UMO Athletics coaches and staff were introduced and new President Dr. David Poole made his first public welcome to the student-athletes with a cheer for another successful year. Following the introductory remarks, Trojan student-athletes lined up for soft served custard and topped off their desserts with some delectable toppings and socialized with teammates, friends and athletics faculty/staff.
"It is always great to see all of the student-athletes back on campus. There's a sense of newness and excitement in the air, as we get ready for another school year. We're looking forward to another outstanding year, academically and athletically," said Vice President for Athletics Jeff Eisen.
