Trojans Have Another Successful Year In The Classroom

Mount Olive, N.C. - The University of Mount Olive had another successful spring semester in the classroom. Fifteen of eighteen sports had a team GPA of over a 3.0. 

Women's golf had the highest team GPA with a 3.76.

Four other teams achieved a 3.4 GPA: Women's Cross Country, Men's Volleyball, Men's Golf, and Women's Tennis. Including the five teams previously mentioned, 10 additional teams posted GPAs over a 3.0: Women's Basketball, Men's Cross Country, Women's Lacrosse, Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, Softball, Men's Tennis, Men's Track & Field, Women's Track & Field, and Women's Volleyball.

The average team GPA was a 3.237, which marked the 16th straight semester with over a 3.0 GPA and second-best overall GPA.

"We are so proud of the job that our student-athletes have done in the classroom.  They continue to achieve, semester after semester, demonstrating a commitment to excellence," said Vice President for Athletics Jeff Eisen.

There were also 16 student-athletes that had a perfect 4.0 GPA for the spring semester.
