Cribb And Willis Named UMO Scholar Athletes Of The Month

MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina - Allison Cribb and Jacob Willis have been selected as the University of Mount Olive Female and Male Scholar-Athletes of the Month for the month of September.

A member of the women's volleyball team, Cribb is a senior Biology major who holds a 3.27 GPA. Cribb was named the 2019 Trojans Globe winner for Sportsmanship.

Cribb is a three-year member of the women's volleyball team and has appeared in 47 matches playing in 117 sets during her three-year career. So far this season she has starred in nine sets over four matches collecting five kills on 26 attacks. She has two digs and two assisted blocks as well.

A member of the men's cross country and track & field teams, Willis is a senior, double majoring in RLS Exercise Science and Sports Management, with minors in Coaching, Sports Psychology, and Biology who holds a 3.64 GPA.

Willis transferred to UMO last year and made an immediate impact earning Conference Carolinas All-Conference Honors as well as USTFCCCA All-Region honors.

Scholar-Athlete of the Month winners are nominated by University of Mount Olive faculty members and selected by a committee chaired by UMO math professor and faculty athletics representative Dr. Brenda Cates.
