MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina. - The University of Mount Olive (UMO) will host its annual Church Night Basketball Games on Saturday, January 25, 2020, in the George and Annie Dail Kornegay Arena.
The UMO Trojans will compete against Erskine College. The women's teams will play at 4 PM with the men's game starting at 6 PM. There will also be a variety of halftime activities for people of all ages, and the church with the most people in attendance will be awarded a scholarship.
The Trojans' women's team is 10-3 overall and 7-2 in the Conference Carolinas, while the men's team is currently 9-7 overall and 3-5 in conference play. UMO's men's and women's teams both also have winning records at home sporting 5-3 and 6-1 records respectively.
Tickets for both games are sold at a special discounted rate of $1 for those attending with a church group.
