Martin Moser - Men's Tennis

Martin Moser has been named the University of Mount Olive Male Scholar-Athlete of the Month for the month of September.

A member of the men's tennis team, Moser is a Business Administration Business Analytics major and Mathematics minor who holds a 3.93 GPA. 

The junior from Voecklabruck, Austria, picked up several laurels last season including a CoSIDA Academic All-Ameican Second-Team honor and the title of Conference Carolinas Scholar Athlete of the Year for men's tennis. In addition, he earned a spot on the 2018 Conference Carolinas All-Academic Team and a Second-Team All-Conference Carolinas nod. 

Throughout the 2017-18 season, Moser collected a 14-2, 8-1 record as the No. 2 singles player and went 11-7, 6-3 as a member of the No. 2 doubles pair. Moser and his teammates will compete in a few fall tournaments, but start their Spring season on February 5, at Wingate University in Wingate, N.C.

Scholar-Athlete of the Month winners are nominated by University of Mount Olive faculty members and selected by a committee chaired by UMO math professor and faculty athletics representative Dr. Brenda Cates.
