Mount Olive continued to advance to the Conference Carolinas Championship game after defeating Belmont Abbey 8-6.
Mount Olive took the lead from the second inning plating two runs. Belmont Abbey took the lead in the top of the fifth after pushing across four runs. Brett Lang gave the lead right back to the Trojans on a three run home run in the bottom of the fifth and Mount Olive never looked back.
Lang ended the game with three hits in four attempts and five RBI.
Mount Olive will play in the championship game at 5 p.m. from Burlington, N.C.
