- Mount Olive allowed Wingate to hit the boards first as a base's loaded single by Joseph Mason plated the first run of the game in the top of the second.
- Wingate went on to expand its lead to 3-0 following a RBI triple in the third.
- The Trojans scored their lone run on a Ricky Surum RBI-single through the left side.
- The Bulldog lead expanded to 6-1 with a pair of runs coming home in the eighth.
