  • Mount Olive found themselves down early as Florida Southern struck for three runs in the top of the first.
  • The Mocs continued to press as in the top of the second as they added four more runs in the second to extend their lead to 7-0.
  • UMO down 8-0, finally found a small spark off the bat of Nate Estes with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth to decrease the deficit to seven.
  • Following a four-run top of the fifth, Mount Olive was able to push home another single run off a Jon Cosme single to right and the Trojans trailed. 12-2.
  • Justin Carroll added a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth but Mount Olive was unable to complete a comeback and fell 12-3.
