MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. --- No. 13 University of Mount Olive baseball shutout the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University 12-0 on Friday evening in at Scarborough Field in Mount Olive, N.C.

  • Mount Olive started the game taking an early lead as Jose Lopez plated the first run on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first.
  • Drew Ellis' solo home run and Justin Lee's RBI-single in the bottom of the second continued to extend the Trojans lead to 3-0.
  • Nate Estes added a solo home run in the bottom of the third to further extend the UMO lead.
  • The Trojans continued to attack in the fourth inning adding four runs highlighted by a Justin Carroll's two-run home run to left center as Mount Olive led 8-0 after four complete.
