  • Mount Olive was not left alone in the home run category as Mason helped get UMO to within one with a grand slam of his own making the score 7-6 LRU.
  • A walk to Stone and a hit by pitch to Logan Welch put two more runners on for Mount Olive in the inning and Lee came up once again to push one across as his RBI-single scored Stone to tie the game at seven.
  • UMO took the lead two batters later after an error by the Bears allowed Welch and Lee to score and the Trojans led 9-7.
  • The Bears tried to claw their way back into the game in the sixth with an RBI-double but the one run was all Lenoir-Rhyne scored as Mount Olive went on to add three runs in the seventh and one in the ninth to close out the game.
