MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. --- No. 11 University of Mount Olive Trojans defeated the Bulldogs of Wingate University 2-0 Wednesday afternoon at Scarborough Field in Mount Olive, N.C.

GAME RUNDOWN
- Mount Olive saw an offensive stalemate for most of the game until the Trojans got rolling in the sixth.
- Blake McLean drew a lead-off walk to get the ball rolling for UMO.
- Gunner Tolston then singled down the right-field line moving McLean to third with still no one away.
- The bases became loaded after JT Stone was hit by a pitch and Nate Estes gave UMO the lead with an RBI-single back up the middle and Mount Olive took the 1-0 advantage.
- The Trojans tried to score one more run but a fielder's choice ended the inning as Wingate stepped on second to record the force out and end the sixth.
- Mount Olive added a second run in the seventh off a Wingate error and moved out 2-0.
