TIGERVILLE, S.C. --- No. 3 seeded University of Mount Olive Trojans took down the No. 2 seed Barton College Bulldogs 6-5 in game six of the Conference Carolinas Baseball Championship Tournament Friday night. Mount Olive advances to play tournament host and No. 1 seed North Greenville Saturday morning at 11 a.m.

GAME RUNDOWN
- Mount Olive saw Barton take an early 2-0 lead after two costly plays on a failed pickoff and a hit by pitch.
- A two-run home run helped extend the lead to four after the top of the third.
- UMO answered the two-run shot with a Joe Mason bomb in the bottom of the third to draw to within two.
- Barton once again answered in the top of the fourth with an RBI-double and took a 5-2 lead into the bottom of the fourth.
- The Trojans came back in the bottom half with two runs off a Bulldog error and a wild pitch to make the deficit 5-4.
- James Smibert tied the game in the fifth with a solo home run to right on the fifth pitch of his at bat.
- The go-ahead and eventual winning run came home in the bottom of the sixth and Junior Snow doubled down the left field line to score Gunner Tolston and Mount Olive took a 6-5 lead.
- Barton was able to get a runner on in the ninth but the comeback was shut down by the Trojans and UMO continued on in the winner's bracket.

- Seth Houston (1-1) got the win as he went two and two-thirds giving up only three hits and struck out two.
- Jake Isbell (SV:2) came in for the final two and two-thirds for the save surrendering one hit and struck out three.
