MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina – The University of Mount Olive women's field hockey team dropped to the Cobras of Coker University 7-1 in South Atlantic Conference Carolinas action Tuesday afternoon at Ray McDonald Sr. Sports Complex in Mount Olive, N.C.

Game Information
The first quarter was all Coker as they scored four goals to take a commanding lead. Following two goals in the second frame, the Trojans went into the break down 6-0. The scoring slowed up somewhat as CU was held to just one goal in the third and it looked like a shutout was in the works heading into the fourth.

In the final quarter with 11:23 remaining Delaney Norr connected with Kaylin Holdeman for the only UMO goal of the game and Mount Olive trailed 7-1. Time continued to tick away and any chance of a comeback evaporated and the Trojans fell to the Cobras.

Trojan Leaders
Kaylin Holdeman led the Trojans with the only goal recorded by UMO shooting 100% from the field.

Victoria Lane (1-10, 1-8 SACC) in the cage for the Trojans recorded nine saves on 16 shots on goal.

Cobra Leaders
Coker was led by Amelia Gajewski who scored two of CU's seven goals off five shots.

Key Moment
The opening quarter of play proved to be the deciding factor as the deficit was too great to come back from.

Up Next: Mount Olive remains home to take on Limestone College on October 26 at 3 p.m. in conference play at the Ray McDonald Sr. Sports Complex. It will also be senior day for Cyani Wheeler as the first Trojan senior in program history.
