ROCK HILL, South Carolina --- The South Atlantic Conference announced the 2019 Field Hockey All-Conference teams with Victoria Lane grabbing honorable mention honors for the University of Mount Olive.
Lane joined 12 other members on the honorable mention team. The freshman collected 154 saves on the season which led the conference and earned her an individual honor as well. Lane was the statistical champion for saves per game with 11.00 saves per contest.
Mount Olive also earned a statistical award, capturing the team title for saves per game (11.50). All three awards are the first for UMO in program history.
"'Victoria exceeded our expectations this fall with all her talent. She has proven to be a reliable goalkeeper while being the backbone of our defense. No surprise that she received these accolades and we looking forward to many more saves in the next few seasons. Well deserved with all the hard work," said Head Coach Daan Polders.
