FIRST HALF

  • King opened the game grabbing a 9-5 lead with 16:31 left in the half.
  • An 11-4 run from the Trojans gave UMO a 16-13 advantage with 12:02 remaining in the period.
  • Trailing 23-20, the Tornado mounted an 8-0 run to retake the lead at 28-23 with 4:09 left on the clock in the opening frame.

  • Freshman Armond Griebe made a layup with 9:21 remaining in the second half that trimmed the Tornado's lead to 53-47.
  • King responded with a 9-0 run that pushed the Trojans' deficit to 15 at 62-47 with 4:58 left on the clock.
  • Mount Olive attempted to make a run late, getting within eight with under a minute to play, but the Trojans could not draw any closer in King's 77-65 win.
