The University of Mount Olive plays host to the 53rd Annual Mount Olive Pickle Classic on November 16-17 at Kornegay Arena. The Pickle Classic is presented by the Mt. Olive Pickle Company and the Kiwanis Club of Mount Olive. Advance all-session passes are Now On Sale in the UMO Athletics Office through November 14. 

Mount Olive returns to the court the 2017-18 Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Year Jamaal Matin and recently played UNC-Chapel Hill in an exhibition game. UMO went 17-12 last season and made a trip to the quarterfinals of the Conference Carolinas Championship tournament.

Below is the basketball schedule for Pickle Classic Weekend:

Friday, Nov. 16
Barton vs. UNC Pembroke 5 p.m.
Clayton State vs. Mount Olive 7 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 17
Hall of Fame Ceremony Lois K. Murphy Regional Center 2 p.m.
Barton vs. Clayton State 5 p.m.
UNC Pembroke vs. Mount Olive 7 p.m.  

 

Ticket Prices
All-Session Pass: $15 (advance sale only)
Single-Day Pass: $10 per day
(Children 4 and under admitted free)

Tickets can be purchased in person at the UMO Athletics Tickets Office (8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday) or by calling 919-658-7759. 

In addition to the basketball contests, the 2018 University of Mount Olive Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place November 17 at 2 p.m. in the Lois K. Murphy Regional Center. This year's inductees are the 2008 National Championship Baseball Team, former Head Baseball Coach Carl Lancaster, and former baseball student-athletes David Cooper, Casey Hodges, Erik Lovett, Jason Sherrer, and Ryan Schlecht.
