Sebastian Andersen Wins Newberry College Invitational

Sebastian Andersen shot a 70 two-under-par in the second round to lead the University of Mount Olive to a seventh place finish and an Individual win after final round of the Newberry College Invitational in Kiawah Island, S.C. The 54-hole tournament was suspended during the second round Monday due to darkness and resumed Tuesday morning.

Mount Olive shot (315-304-310-929) as a team and took seventh out of 18 teams. Andersen won the individual title for the Trojans after a tournament total (72-70-76-218). . Nick Adams shot an (81-73-73-227) and tied for 8th. Liam McAnally shot a (79-80-83) and tied for 51st. Jesus Valderrama shot an (85-81-78-244) and tied for 59th. John Thatch tied for 72nd after a (83-85-83-251) after 54 holes.

Conference Carolinas foe Limestone College grabbed the team title after a (306-311-296-913) tournament total.

Mount Olive is off for a month before they head north to play in the Barton Intercollegiate March 13.
