Jose Ramirez tied for seventh and Nick Adams tied for 10th out of 59 golfers as nationally 27th-ranked University of Mount Olive finished third out of 11 teams at the Barton College Men's Golf Intercollegiate in Wilson, N.C. The Trojans moved up a spot from fourth place after the first round. The 36-hole tournament concluded Tuesday.
Only five strokes separated Mount Olive's contingent as all five Trojans finished among the top 25. Below are the Trojans' individual scores and where they finished:

The Trojans carded a team score of 298 Tuesday after shooting a 309 in the first round for a 36-hole total of 607. Belmont Abbey won the tournament with a 592.
Mount Olive returns to action next week as the Trojans travel to Greenville, S.C., to compete in the Lander University Bearcat Golf Classic. The tournament begins Monday and concludes Tuesday.
