MORGANTON, N.C. - The University of Mount Olive men's golf team sits in 7th place after the first day of the Donald Ross Intercollegiate Monday afternoon in Morganton, N.C.

Notables

  • Arthur Heinbach led the way for the Trojans, with a 68-72-140 during the first two rounds and had eight birdies on the day. He currently sits inside the top-10 in a three-way tie for 10th.

  • Chandler Perry had a solid first round playing even par through his first 11 holes, before hitting a rough bogie patch to finish four-over. He followed up in the second round shaving off one stroke with four birdies to cap-off a seven-over two-round total and a t-32 finish.
  • Ballin and Gabrielsson rounded out UMO's finishers in the top-50 with t-43 finishes for both golfers.
