Men's Golf Finishes Sixth At The McDonough Cup

ORLANDO, Florida – Olle Ryberg and Ruben van der Berg finished inside the top-15 to led the Trojans as the University of Mount Olive took sixth at the McDonough Cup Tuesday in Orlando, Fla.


Tournament Information
The Trojans team of Olle RybergRuben van der BergPatrick Schweitz, and Arthur Heinbach finished T6th with a 304-290-298=892 team score. UMO placed all scoring golfers inside the top-45 out of 81 participants.
 
Trojan Leaders
Ryberg had a slight setback in the final round shooting a 77 after his 69 in the second to shoot a combined 221 and finish tied for 12th. Van der Berg also shot a 221 for the tournament but had his best round of the tournament shooting a 71, one-under-par, with four birdies on the day. 
 
Schweitz after playing two-over through the front nine collected two birdies to finish one-under on the back and take a T22nd finish with his 73 in the final round. Heinbach also played two-under through the front but finished the day seven over and dropped 12 spots from the second round to finish T42nd. 
 
Up Next: The Trojans have completed their fall season and will kick off the spring season in February when Mount Olive travels to the World Golf Invitational in St. Augustine, Fla. the 16-17.
