Mount Olive, N.C. – The 5th-ranked University of Mount Olive men's lacrosse team fell to Lake Erie 7-5 on Wednesday afternoon in Painesville, Ohio.

FIRST QUARTER
- The opening quarter saw a stalemate between Mount Olive and Lake Erie despite outshooting the Storm 10-to-6.
SECOND QUARTER
- Lake Erie opened the game up in the second quarter with goals at the 12:09 and 8:07 marks to take the first lead of the game.
- The Trojans responded with two goals 43 seconds apart with the first goal coming in from Gunner Parson with 4:43 left in the second to tie the game at two.
- The Storm took the lead back over five seconds before the half ended with a goal by Brandon Donohue to take a 3-2 lead into halftime.
THIRD QUARTER
- Lake Erie had control of the third as the Storm put in three goals to the Trojans single goal to expand their lead 6-3.
FOURTH QUARTER
- The Trojans fought back with a pair of goals surrounding a Strom goal in the fourth, but UMO was unable to complete the comeback as they fell 7-5.
KEY STATS
- Mount Olive had five different Trojans record a goal in the game.
- Junior Will Urban (4-1) suffered his first loss in between the pipes with 14 saves.
