Mount Olive, N.C. – The 12th-ranked University of Mount Olive men's lacrosse team fell to Queens University, 11-10, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon in Charlotte, N.C.

FIRST QUARTER

  • Mount Olive fell behind four minutes into the contest as Queens' Nick Carlson scored the game's first goal with 11:01 left on the clock.
  • The Trojans found the answer with 9:44 as Thatcher Clark found the back of the net to tie the game at one.
  • Queens took the momentum to end the quarter as a goal with nine seconds left gave the Royals a 3-2 lead heading into the second.

SECOND QUARTER

  • UMO owned the second quarter as the Trojans outscored Queens, 2-1, to take a 4-4 tie into halftime.

THIRD QUARTER

  • The Trojans again outscored the Royals in the third. Brett Kingston and Clark combined to score three goals and give Mount Olive its first lead of the game at 7-5 heading into the final quarter.

FOURTH QUARTER

  • Kingston started out the fourth quarter with a score to push Mount Olive out to a three-goal lead with 14:05 left.
  • The Royals responded by going on a 4-0 run to take the lead back 9-8 with 11:43 remaining.
  • Clark stopped the bleeding with a goal with 9:08 left as the Trojans tied the game at nine.
