Mount Olive, N.C. – The 12th-ranked University of Mount Olive men's lacrosse team fell to Queens University, 11-10, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon in Charlotte, N.C.

Play-by-Play
FIRST QUARTER
- Mount Olive fell behind four minutes into the contest as Queens' Nick Carlson scored the game's first goal with 11:01 left on the clock.
- The Trojans found the answer with 9:44 as Thatcher Clark found the back of the net to tie the game at one.
- Queens took the momentum to end the quarter as a goal with nine seconds left gave the Royals a 3-2 lead heading into the second.
SECOND QUARTER
- UMO owned the second quarter as the Trojans outscored Queens, 2-1, to take a 4-4 tie into halftime.
THIRD QUARTER
- The Trojans again outscored the Royals in the third. Brett Kingston and Clark combined to score three goals and give Mount Olive its first lead of the game at 7-5 heading into the final quarter.
FOURTH QUARTER
- Kingston started out the fourth quarter with a score to push Mount Olive out to a three-goal lead with 14:05 left.
- The Royals responded by going on a 4-0 run to take the lead back 9-8 with 11:43 remaining.
- Clark stopped the bleeding with a goal with 9:08 left as the Trojans tied the game at nine.
- Jacob Ball tied the game once again after Queens scored and the game was tied at 10 with 2:28.
- Queens, however, had the final shot as with 24 seconds left Nick Sawyer scored unassisted and Mount Olive was unable to force overtime.
KEY STATS
- Kingston led the Trojans with three goals.
- Cole Groebner led the defense with eight groundballs.
- Between the posts, Will Urban (L: 10-5) suffered the loss allowing 11 goals on 17 shots.
