University of Mount Olive outshot Southern Wesleyan University 15-9, but a goal in the 106th minute was the difference as the Trojans fell to the Warriors 1-0 in double overtime in Conference Carolinas men's soccer Sunday at Amon Field. The loss was the Trojans' second straight after a five-match winning streak.

Mount Olive (7-4-0 overall, 5-2-0 Conference Carolinas) outshot Southern Wesleyan 12-5 in regulation, but had to settle for a scoreless tie after 90 minutes. The Trojans had their best scoring opportunity in the 19th minute when Malick Chune and Trevor Knight both had shots from inside the box seven seconds apart, but Warrior goalkeeper Ruben Rodriguez deflected both attempts.

Trojan goalkeeper Nick Bernsdorf recorded saves on all three Southern Wesleyan shot attempts in the second half, including a diving save on a 15-yard shot. UMO defender Sean Lockett prevented a scoring opportunity with a one-on-one takeaway in the box late in the half.
