Mount Olive, N.C. - The University of Mount Olive men's soccer team came away with a 0-0 draw against Newberry College at Amon Field in non-conference action at Amon Field Thursday night.

Play-by-Play
First Half
- Mount Olive had a couple of chances early to score as UMO had back-to-back corner kicks at the 23:21 mark.
- The game took a turn when Mount Olive went a man up following a red card to a Newberry College player in the 25th minute.
- Despite the player advantage Mount Olive was unable to find a score at the half.
Second Half
- The Trojans continued to exchange shots with the Wolves in the second half and had an unfortunate change in the momentum when a red card was issued to a Trojan in the 76th minute.
- After the teams became even strength again neither could find a goal and extra time was needed.
Overtime
- Newberry outshot Mount Olive 6-to-3 in the two overtime periods but once againneither teamcould best the opposing keeper and the game ended in a draw.
