Trojan Men's Soccer Falls To Chowan 2-0

MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina – The University of Mount Olive men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to the Hawks of Chowan University 2-0 in Conference Carolinas action Wednesday night at Amon Field.
 
Game Information
The Trojans played tough for the thirty minutes of the first half but the Hawks struck first in the 34th minute. The goal took any bit of momentum out of the UMO sails and in the 62nd minute, Chowan added a second insurance goal to seal the win 2-0. Mount Olive was outshot 24-to-5 in the contest and only recorded one shot in the opening frame.

 
Trojan Leaders
Trevor Berk led the Trojans with two shots, one on frame.

Cooper Armstrong (1-1-0, 1-1-0 CC) in goal for the Trojans recorded eight saves on 10 shots on goal.

Hawk Leaders
Chowan was led by Joury Den Boogert who had one of the goals for the Hawks.

Key Moment
The first-half goal proved to be the deciding factor as CU needed just one score to come away with the victory.
