UMO Men's Soccer Takes Downs Belmont Abbey 3-2

MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina. – The University of Mount Olive men's soccer team took down the Crusaders of North Greenville University 3-2 in Conference Carolinas action Wednesday afternoon in Bristol, Tenn.
 
Game Information
The Trojans struggled from the beginning as Belmont Abbey scored in the 9th minute. Arthur Lucus found the equalizer in the 30th minute, but the Crusaders stole the momentum with one second left in the half and took a 2-1 lead into the half.

In the second half, Benjamin Dufton-Kelly headed a ball into the back of the net after Tajan served a shot in off a free-kick and the game was tied. The game-winner came off the foot of Sam Murphy in the 87th minute and UMO closed out the game defensively to win the game 3-2. 

 
Trojan Leaders
Benjamin Dufton-Kelly led the Trojans with the game-winning goal on his only shot of the game.

Cooper Armstrong (2-1-0, 2-1-0 CC) in goal for the Trojans recorded two saves on four shots on goal.

Crusader Leaders
Belmont Abbey was led by Davis McBee and Ryan Cowie who both had a score in the contest.

Key Moment
The second-half goal by Sam Murphy proved to be the game-winner.
