No. 50 Trojans Fall To Limestone In Tournament Semifinals 5-2

Brahm Moolman won at number six singles and paired up with Gabriel Santana for a win at number three doubles, but nationally 50th-ranked Mount Olive fell to Limestone 5-2 in the semifinals of the Conference Carolinas men's tennis tournament Saturday morning at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.

Santana and Moolman gave the third-seeded Trojans (13-6) life in doubles with an 8-4 win over Austin McAlister and Daniel Lopez. Mount Olive was not so fortunate in the first two seeds as second-seeded Limestone (17-7) won a pair of close matches 9-8 and 8-5.

Losses in the first, fourth and fifth singles matches brought the Trojans' title bid to an end. Moolman provided the team's lone singles win with a 6-2, 6-3 decision over Lopez.

The Trojans will play fourth-seeded Pfeiffer in a consolation match to determine third and fourth place. Time for the match has not been determined.
