No. 24 Trojans Win Seventh Straight Men's Tennis Match

Nationally 24th-ranked University of Mount Olive swept singles and doubles play for a 9-0 victory over Belmont Abbey College in Conference Carolinas men's tennis Tuesday at Belmont, N.C. The win was the Trojans' seventh in a row.

Mount Olive (9-3 overall, 5-0 Conference Carolinas) led 3-0 after doubles play and clinched the team victory two matches into singles play. Edgar Bub and Paul Wiederspahn won 8-5 at No. 1 doubles, Matt Finnerty and Henric Falkenberg won 8-3 at No. 2 doubles, and Lautaro Vazquez and Martim Sousa won 8-4 at No. 3 doubles.

Mount Olive returns to action Sunday as the Trojans travel to Wingate, N.C., to take on Wingate in a non-conference match-up. Match time is 1 p.m.
