Raleigh, N.C. – The University of Mount Olive men's tennis team swept William Peace, 9-0, in its spring season-opener on Sunday afternoon in Raleigh, N.C.

INSIDE THE RESULTS

  • The Trojans dominated doubles play to open competition as UMO captured 8-0 victories in all three doubles matches.
  • Following up the doubles wins, Mount Olive swept all six singles matches.
  • At No. 1, 5, and 6 singles, the Trojans earned 6-0, 6-0 straight-set victories by Ogulcan Deniz, Sherzod Akramov, and Juan Arbelaez, respectively.
  • Martin Moser and Jacob Clarke captured 6-0, 6-1 wins at No. 2 and 4 singles, while Jack Middleton secured a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 3.
