Sumter, S.C. – The University of Mount Olive men's tennis team dropped its Conference Carolinas Tournament semifinals match with Barton College, 5-3, on Saturday afternoon at the Sumter Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.

INSIDE THE RESULTS
- UMO found itself behind 2-1 after doubles action.
- The Trojans only doubles win came at No. 2 doubles as the sophomore duo of Ogulcan Deniz and Martin Moser earned an 8-2 victory.
- The turning point of the match was a marathon matchup at No. 1 doubles that saw senior Martim Sousa and sophomore Jose Cortijos drop the matchup, 8-7 (18-16).
- In singles action, the Trojans captured two wins.
- Moser rolled at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-1, and Sousa powered past his opponent at No. 4 singles, 6-0, 7-5.
NOTES
- The Trojans' season comes to a close with a 14-4 overall record and a 9-1 mark in Conference Carolinas regular season action. UMO earned a share of the Conference Carolinas regular season title after finishing the regular season in a three-way tie with Limestone College and Belmont Abbey College.
