SUMTER, S.C. - The No. 2 seeded University of Mount Olive men's tennis team fell to the No. 7 seeded Bulldogs of Barton College 5-3 on Friday afternoon in quarterfinals of the 2018 Conference Carolinas men's tennis championship tournament at the Sumter Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.

INSIDE THE RESULTS
- The Trojans found themselves behind 3-0 after giving up all three doubles games to the Bulldogs.
- Armando Ferreira earned a point for the Trojans after downing Barton's No. 1 player 6-1, 6-2 in straight sets.
- Martin Moser won the No. 2 singles flight 6-1, 6-2, earning another point for UMO and Pablo Safont Ferrer took the No. 5 flight in three sets, 6-4, 2-6, 6-0, for the third Mount Olive point.
- The Trojans were upended by the Bulldogs who won the No. 4 & No. 6 singles games to reach the five-point victory margin. The No. 3 singles match went unfinished as Barton clinched the match before that game was finished.
