Mount Olive Drops Two Matches To Close The City of Florence 2019 College Tournament

FLORENCE, S.C. - The University of Mount Olive men's tennis team dropped both matches on the final day of the City of Florence 2019 College Tournament hosted by Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C. The Trojans fell 4-1 to the nationally ranked No. 5 Bearcats of Lander and 4-2 to the Patriots of Francis Marion.

  • The Trojans found themselves behind1-0 after losing the doubles point despite Armando Ferreira and Milosh Petrovic picking up a 6-2 win as the No. 1 duo.
  • Ferreira won his singles bout in two sets, 6-3, 6-0, but the Bearcats took the next three games, singles No. 2, 3, and 6, to win the match 4-1 leaving the No. 4 & 5 singles unfinished.
