Men's Tennis Closes Regular Season With a 7-0 Sweep Over Southern Wesleyan

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - Mount Olive defeated the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University 7-0 on Thursday afternoon in Conference Carolinas men's tennis action at the John Neal Walker Tennis Center in Mount Olive, N.C.

INSIDE THE RESULTS

  • The Trojans again won all three doubles matches with the No. 1 duo of Armando Ferreira and Milosh Petrovic winning 6-4 their match and Pablo Safont Ferrer and Martin Moser winning the No. 2 match 6-1.
  • Doubles No. 3 and singles No. 5 & 6 were won by UMO as SWU did not have players to compete at those flights.
  • Mount Olive won singles flights 1 thru 4 to take the match 7-0.
  • Ferreira won at singles No. 1 in two sets 6-3, 6-3 with Moser taking the No. 2 flight 6-3, 6-2.
  • Petrovic took No. 3 with a 6-1, 6-1 result and Safont Ferrer won the No. 4 flight in an 8-1 pro set to close the match.
