No. 20 University of Mount Olive men's track and field team finished up at the Raleigh Relays this past weekend. Austin Steagall moved up to the 2nd best time in the 5000m as he put up a time of 14:08.70 which was an NCAA Provisional Qualifier. Akiharu Kitagawa also ran well in the 5000m with a time of 14:21.73, which was also an NCAA Provisional Qualifier. Peter Gustafsson placed fourth overall at the Raleigh relays in the 400m Hirdles with a time of 54.25 and moved to second place all-time.
In the field events Franz Beyer moved into 2nd place all-time in the High Jump with a distance of 1.95m.
Mount Olive will return to the track on April 2, as the Trojans head up to Williamsburg, Va. to compete in the Colonial Relays.
