Trojans Compete At Johnson C. Smith Invitational

No. 29 University of Mount Olive Men's Track and Field team competed at the Johnson C. Smith Invitational this past weekend.Austin Steagall and Nick Geyno stole the show as they picked up two school record and an NCAA Provisonal Qualifier. Stegall picked up his NCAA Provisional Qualifier in the 3000M steeplechase. He finished with a time of 9:17.94.

Greyno broke two school records over the two days. The first record was taken in the discus with a distance of 42.86M. His second record came in the Hammer with a distance of 48.42M. Greyno also moved into third place overall in the shot put with a distance of 13.50M.

 Charles Erwin moved into second place all-time in the discus with a distance of 40.21M. Cedric Thomas also moved into second place all-tim in the 200M. He finished with a time of 22.14.

Mount Olive will compete in the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championships April 24-25 in Banner Elk, N.C.
