Liberty, Va. – The University of Mount Olive men's and women's track & field teams competed in the first meet of the new year at the Liberty Kickoff in Liberty, Va.

NOTABLES
- Freshman Leah Hanle broke the school record in the mile. Her time of 5:08.85 beats the previous mark set by Paulena Kremling 5:16.51 in 2016.
- The Trojans also set 86 personal bests overall during the two-day meet.
- Taylor Moncrief established the new school record for the Pentathlon. During the five-event competition, she broke the UMO school record in the High Jump, clearing 1.61m.
- Adam Craig ran away from the field in the 5000m, running alone after the opening lap. His time of 14:39.61 is under the NCAA provisional standard by five seconds, and also breaks the UMO school record, previously held by Austin Steagall (14:41.24).
