RALEIGH/MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The University of Mount Olive track & field teams had a successful showing at the Raleigh Relays and the Adidas Trojan Challenge over the weekend. The Trojans saw two NCAA Automatic qualifying marks, six NCAA Provisional qualifying marks, eight school records broken, and numerous moves in the UMO top-10.

WOMEN'S NOTABLES
- On the women's side, Leah Hanle had a marathon weekend picking up an NCAA Automatic qualifier in the 5000m at the Raleigh relays before heading to UMO to collect an NCAA Provisional qualifier in the steeplechase at the Adidas Trojan Challenge.
- The women's track and field teams had a great weekend as four more Trojans grabbed NCAA provos.
- Candise Lockett (Hammer), Taylor Moncrief (High Jump), Kamber Skeen (Javelin), and Malak Kafi (100m Hurdles) all secured marks for the NCAA National Championship with provisional mark in their respective events, while also breaking school records in each event.
- Sydney McCoy also broke a UMO school record in the 100m.
- Hannah Glover, Luisa Stutzke, Jacqueline Thring, Kristen Clarke, Samantha Tobin, Llyric Mack, and Princess Lea'E all made moves in the Mount Olive record book in their respective events.
MEN'S NOTABLES
- On the men's side, the 4x400m relay team of Arne Leppelsack, Johnny Middlebrooks, Richard Fisher, and Tedric Shannon punched their ticket once again to the NCAA DII Outdoor national championship with their automatic qualifying time of 3:08.24. The team also broke the school record in the process.
- Tai Smith also helped get himself to the national championship with his provo time in the 5000m moving into 6th-place all-time in the UMO record book.
- Martin Bayles broke the school record in the pole vault with his height of 4.50m.
- Zach Teeple, Luke Miller, Ben Howard, Sven Bulik, Zach Jenkins, Eian Hines, Kamari Walker, Jawann Washington, and Darius McDaniels-Biddings all made moves in the record book as well in their respective events.
