Lexington, Ky. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced earlier this week that 1,125 teams have earned the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2018-2019 season. This number breaks the previous year's total of 977 to set an all-time high.
Mount Olive men's volleyball was named to the list for the third consecutive year. The Trojans finished the spring semester with a 3.539 GPA, a 0.158 increase from the fall semester where the team had a 3.381 team GPA.
Of the eight Division I-II programs that made the list, three were from Conference Carolinas in Barton, Belmont Abbey, and Mount Olive.
