Men's Cross Country Ranked 19th In Preseason USTFCCCA National Rankings

New Orleans, La. - The University of Mount Olive men's cross country team received a No. 19 ranking in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) preseason NCAA Division II men's cross country national rankings.

The Trojans, who were voted the unanimous favorites in the preseason Conference Carolinas coaches poll, also received a No. 2 ranking in the Southeast Region preseason poll behind Queens. UMO is on the hunt for their eighth consecutive conference title and to regain control of the Southeast Region.

Jackie Kirby, who was promoted to head coach over the summer, looks to continue and expand the success the Trojans collected over the last eight seasons, with new assistant coach, and UMO alum class of '14, Erasmo 'Mo' Ordonez at her side.

The Trojans begin their season on September 7, as they travel to Salisbury, N.C., to compete in the Catawba Fleet Feet XC Invite.
