Mount Olive Finishes 32nd at 46th Running Of Paul Short Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania - The University of Mount Olive men's cross country team finished 32nd of 44 teams competing at the 46th running of the annual Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University on Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course in Bethlehem, Pa.

MEET INFORMATION
The Trojan men's team competed in the College Male Gold Race, a field consisting of mainly Division I schools with six Division II and III teams running the race this year as well.

INSIDE THE RESULTS
The Trojans had a good showing at the 46th running of the Paul Short Invitational with senior Tai Smith leading the way finishing 68th claiming 65 points for the team score with a time of 24:21.4. Smith was followed by Jacob Gonzalez who finished 174th with a time of 24:59.6. Gonzalez brought in 161 team points while Branson Oduor collected 166 points after finishing 179th overall with a time of 25:00.9.

Senior Daniel Francken was the fourth Trojan that crossed the line and completed the race in 25:27.8 minutes to place 251st overall, scoring 227 team points. Jay Hall finished with a time of 25:36.6 in 273rd place. Hall scored 242 points for a total of 861 team points. Altan Cornu was the last Trojan to cross the line with a time of 26:20.6 and finishing 333rd of 380 runners.

The Trojans are back on the course next weekend when they travel to Charlotte, NC, to compete in the Royals XC Challenge.
