MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - The University of Mount Olive softball team is set to face the No. 2 seeded Flying Fleet of Erskine College on Friday, April 27, in the first round of the 2018 Conference Carolinas Softball Championship Tournament in Burlington, N.C.

MOUNT OLIVE

  • The Trojans finished the season seventh in the conference standings with a 9-11 conference record and going 22-26 overall.
  • Kayla Allen led the Trojans in batting (.390), triples (9), and hits (60) while adding a third-best 25 RBI. She broke the career record for triples in a career this season as she now sits with 14 triples for her career.
  • Anna Ingram finished her final regular season for UMO with a .298 average with 23 RBI and tied for the team lead in doubles with 13.
  • Eileen Barrera grabbed second team honors after hitting .326 with 25 RBI and a third-best 44 hits on the season.
  • Mallory Ratcliff has been the leadoff pitcher for the Trojans with 23 appearances and 18 starts. She has an 11-9 record and 12 complete games having pitched 123 innings. Ratcliff holds a 2.56 ERA with hitters getting 111 hits and 57 runs off the Trojan pitcher.

ERSKINE COLLEGE

  • Erskine finished the regular season 27-15 and 17-2 in conference action.
  • The Flying Fleet is led by Reagan Davis with a .377 batting average in her 122 at-bat appearances. She has tallied a third-best 20 runs on 46 hits, second-best for 16 RBI's.
  • Brittany Rhinehardt has tallied a .360 batting average in 139 at-bat appearances. Sj leads the team with 38 runs on 50 hits a has 23 RBI's to her credit.

SERIES HISTORY

  • The Trojans fell to the Flying Fleet 1-0 and 6-4 in the doubleheader back on March 23 in Due West, S.C.
