WILSON, N.C. – The University of Mount Olive women's basketball team fell to the Bulldogs of Barton College 90-79 on Wednesday night in Conference Carolinas action in Wilson, N.C. Ni'Ya Styles set a new program record for career three-pointers made as she now sits in first with 222. Felecity Havens, junior guard/forward, surpassed 1,000 career points as she needed just 17 points going into the game to reach the career benchmark.

FIRST QUARTER

  • The two teams went back and forth over the first two and a half minutes with the teams sitting tied at eight-all with 7:33 remaining.
  • Barton opened up a six-point lead, 16-10, halfway through the quarter.
