Mount Olive Women's Golf Tie For 5th In Conference Carolinas Championship

Julie Loennechen finished tied for 14th as the University of Mount Olive finished tied for 5th in the 2015 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship Tuesday at the Bryan Park in Browns Summit, N.C.

Mount Olive moved up a spot to fifth place after final-round play in the 2015 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship Monday at Bryan Park in Browns Summit, N.C. The Trojans' final round total was 11 strokes lower than their second round total.

Loennechen carded a 79 Monday after shooting a 78 Sunday. She birdied the par-3 fourth hole and the par-5 11th hole and finished the final round with an 84 for a total 241.

Stefany King (84-82-83—249) finished in 25th place, Julia Kaeding (81-90-83—254) tied for 30th, Denise Dange (88-84-78—250) finished in 26th and Anne Barboteau (81-92-80—253) tied for 29th. Barboteau, Kaeding, and Dange were the only Trojan golfers to improve over their second round score.

Mount Olive followed Sunday's 324 with a 335 Monday and a 324 Tuesday for a 54-hole score of 983. Limestone took the team Championship with a 315-313-307—935. Converse's Maddisen Cox, who was the only player to shoot even par in the first round, held onto a one-stroke lead after 36 holes and took the individual title with a 72-80-70—222.
