Notables

  • Linn Andersson started the round on a rough note with a double bogey on the first hole. The freshman, however, picked up a par and birdie on her next two holes to remain one over. Following playing even on the next two holes, Andersson approached No. 6, a par three 150 yard hole.

  • Andersson lined up her shot and with just one swing did something few golfers accomplish, a hole-in-one. She would finish the front nine even par after a birdie on No. 9 and rounded out the day four over.

  • Andersson becomes the second UMO golfer to record a hole-in-one in the past year, after Harry Bayley did it last season in the Spring Kickoff Invite in Fleming Island, Fla. on Feb. 13.

  • Teammate Johanna Andersson led the team in birdies with two as she was par/one-under for the first 13 holes before a rough streak in the final five holes forced her to finish the day four over.
