No. 30 Women's Golf Takes 6th At Flagler Fall Slam

ST AUGUSTINE, Florida – Senior Johanna Andersson carded a 151 to lead the No. 30 University of Mount Olive to a sixth-place finish after the final round of the Flagler Fall Slam at the Marsh Creek Country Club on Tuesday. The finish is the first after receiving their national ranking last week. 
 
Tournament Information
The Trojans, who are coming off a fourth-place finish at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational, finished sixth out of 17 teams with a 312-302=614 team score. UMO's team of Johanna AnderssonLindsey BurtonLinn Andersson, and Linn Bergman all placed inside the top-35. The field had 9 teams inside the top 40 in the NCAA DII Golfstat Rankings including the Trojans of UMO.
 
Trojan Leaders
Johanna Andersson was the sole Trojan in the top-15 as her 75 in the second round moved her up six spots from the opening round to finish in a tie for 15th. Lindsey Burton (77-79-156), Linn Andersson (80-76-156) and Linn Bergman (79-77-156) all had a dogfight to finish the tournament as they tied with each other to finish in a tie for 34th with a 156 for the Tournament.
 
Up Next: Mount Olive has completed their fall schedule and will take a break before competing again in the spring. The first tournament for the Trojans is the World Golf Invitational in St. Augustine, Fla. February 10-11.
