HICKORY, N.C. – The University of Mount Olive women's lacrosse team defeated the Bears of Lenior-Rhyne University 11-7 in non-conference action in Hickory, N.C. Jackie Kaderabek led the Trojans offense with six points on four goals and two assists.

Play-by-Play

FIRST HALF

  • Kaderabek got the ball rolling with her first goal of the game nearly two minutes into action.
  • Lenior-Rhyne tied it up at one-all three minutes later.
  • UMO put up the next two points on goals by Michaela Ciciarelli and Kiara Burke to give the Trojans a 3-1 lead.
  • In the final ten minutes of the first half, Lenior-Rhyne scored four goals while the Trojans tallied two as the two squads entered halftime knotted up at five all.

SECOND HALF

  • Mount Olive came out of the half scoring the three consecutive goals over the course of 22 minutes to take the 8-5 lead. Kaderabek's two goals sandwiched Ciciarelli's second goal of the night.
  • The Bears scored two goals in the course of a minute and a half but the Trojans closed out the game scoring a trio of goals in the final three and a half minutes to take the four-point, 11-7 win.
