Play-by-Play

First Half

  • Mount Olive came out on fire as UMO jumped at a chance for an early goal in the ninth minute.
  • Kaylee Larson collected a pass from Niza Vera and found the back of the net just 8:10 into the opening frame to give the Trojans the early lead.
  • Erskine was able to answer back in the 40th minute to tie the game at one going into halftime.

Second Half

  • The Flying Fleet took over the lead in the 68th minute following a goal by Katie Cauble from Erskine.
  • UMO fought back to tie the game in the 82nd minute as Jaelyn Brown scored the equalizing goal off a pass from Devynn Brennan.
  • Erskine, however, did not allow the tie to stand as the Flying Fleet found the game-winning goal in the 86th minute and the Trojans were unable to tie the match.
