Play-by-Play
First Half
- The Trojans came out of the gate pressing the Shaw backline firing off three shots on goal in the first four minutes of play.
- UMO finally connected on one of their shots as Niza Vera scored off the Isabella Nunu assist in the 30th minute to push the Trojans up 1-0.
- Mount Olive went into halftime with a 1-0 lead and had outshot the Bears 16-to-1.
Second Half
- UMO carried the momentum from the first half into the second as they went up 2-0 over Shaw on a goal by Cristina Galvan who corralled the ball off the Kendall Blaine assist.
- The final score by the Trojans came in the 77th minute as Jaelyn Brown scored off a rebounded save by the Bears keeper to give UMO the 3-0 win.
Key Stats
- Kaylee Larson led the Trojans in shots with eight, including two on goal. Brown was close behind taking seven shots, five on goal and scoring the third Mount Olive goal.
- Abigail Ross picked up the win in goal as she picked up two saves before coming out shortly into the second half.
- Vivian Fernandez played 41 minutes between the pipes following Ross's exit from the match.
